Black Girls and RED Lipstick

I was in one of my fav cosmetic stores (Sephora), and I couldn't help but over hear two young African American women talking. One was a deep chocolate with a red undertone and the other was a caramel chocolate with a yellow undertone (yes I noticed I am a make up fiend I have to look at everyone's undertone!) Any who, Ms. Dark Chocolate said to her friend "I can only wear dark purple or a little gold. People are going to laugh if I walk around with red lips and my dark skin." Me being Ms. Kiss My Lips, I had to intervene! Reds and pinks enhance the tone of dark skin you have to find the right red! Don't think you can wear the same shade Becky with fair skin can wear, just find a nice deep red for you. My interventions were succesful I hope she sends me a pic! Tip: the deeper your tone the deeper the red! Don"t be afraid to try corals and please do pink!!
